Under my old XP system I was able to do system backups onto my harddrive (it was one of the options at that time and probably a partition) and was nice for if cases where I was loading a new piece of software and if it had created problems, it was a fast
and easy way for me to recover by going back.   I don't get (or can't find) that option any more...In Windows 7 I originally I set it up to back up via a usb but found that one backup just about filled USB drive (8 gb) so I couldn't do any multiple backups
to the drive. 
Now all the options it gives me is my DVD drive.   I take it this option doesn't exist anymore?   And, if I have to use my DVD drive temporarily, can I use R/W dvd's?  I know it didn't allow that for my original system backup (image copy).. but don't want
to have a bunch of backup cd's sitting around and just confusing myself...(I am looking for a backup drive but am trying to save $$)
