Can longer see gridlines in Excel 2007

I can no longer see any gridlines in Excel, it was functioning normally up until last month.  I have made sure I have the relevant boxes checked ie, show gridlines etc, I have also ensured I have not assigned a fill colour to my cells which is not allowing
the gridlines to been seen.  I can enter information in the cells, and see the information in regard to the row and column I am in.  I am really stuck with this problem, and would greatly appreciate any help.  Regards Crystalanne.
