active update module patch has stopped working & others

I have been unable to update my Trend Micro security.  I keep getting the message that MS active update module patch stopped working and was closed.  Other messages I keep getting at other times are:
HP unzip utility stopped working and was closed;
HP digital imaging monitor has stopped working and was closed
Cyberlink media stopped working and was closed
Windows media stopped working and was closed
component host service stopped working and was closed
manages scheduled tasks stopped working and was closed

Are you able to open Windows Update and Update software?
 
Right click on My Computer and select Manage
Click on Device Manager
Click the + next to Compatible Printer
Right click on your printer and select uninstall
Click the + next to Imaging Devices
Right click on your printer and select uninstall
Click the + next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers
Right click on your printer and select uninstall
Close Device Manager
Reboot computer and let Windows reinstall the drivers
 
Go to HP.com and look for software updates
www.hp.com

To check for Windows updates. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Update. In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer. If any updates are found, click Install updates.
